Usage statistics show that there were a total of  8,069  visits and  25,293 page views from the RARE-Bestpractices website launch, in July 2013. From March 2014 to February 2015, the website is increasingly being used with 5,429 visits compared to the 2,738 visits from July 2013 to March 2014.

The number of page views increased from 8,630 in the period July 2013 –March 2014 to 16.625 in the period March 2014 – February 2015.

From March 2014 to February 2015 usage statistics show a 24,3%  increase with a 45% of increase in January 2015.

The RARE-Bestpractices website is accessed from 103 countries around the world. From March 2014 to February 2015, 79,76% of the visits were in Europe, 6,50% were in Asia, 6,38% were in North America and the remaining 7,37% were in the other continents.

In particular, 41,08% of the visits were in Italy, 9,77% in Spain, 9,13% in the United Kingdom, 5,29% in Netherlands, 5,27%   in the United States of America, 4,88% in France, 3.86% in Germany, 3,49% in Australia, 2,47 in China and 14,77% in other countries.

The majority of visits to the website were direct or via search engine. Even if the access through the blogs and social networks represents the way less used to access the website,  this referral shows an extremely  positive  trend (+115.7%). That could be associated  with the creation of  RARE-Bestpractices  Twitter™  account in March 2014.

The increase in website use suggests a growing interest in the RARE-Bestpractices activities and awareness of its initiatives.

The RARE-Bestpractices website is updated regularly and new sections will be developed according to the project deliverables.
